Or how to become the best version of yourself, even if it's a tough fight, requiring discipline and a warrior's mind to cut through the ego that limits you in everything.
With this asana, you move towards the unknown. Bust forward (future) while lightening what's behind, leg raised backward (past). The body will refocus on the pelvis and your mind on balance.
This posture helps you refocus. The leg anchored in the center (present) reminds us of the importance of the present moment. It's also a physically demanding asana, requiring strong back and hamstring muscles. Virabhadrasana III enables you to accept the new, to let go of the old while remaining stable and strong.
Balance is ensured by three systems: the inner ear, sight and proprioception. This asana works on dynamic balance, when entering the posture, and static balance when held.
